Description:
 
This role is an IT Project Manager to effectively manage and support operations related to our client's critical-care Biopharmaceutical products, blood Plasma products and Vaccine products. Our client is a $2B distributor of these products and related Analytics services in the United States. The IT organization is moderate in size and, as such, this Project Manager will need to be hands-on in project delivery management. This does not mean that the PM will need to be a full-blown Technical Architect, but he or she will need to have a reasonable understanding of software development methods and overall IT infrastructure, in order to dig into issues/risks and to remove project roadblocks for the team.

On this particular assignment, the PM will manage a team consisting of resources from SAP, a 3 ^rd party Systems Integrator, and internal client resources.

We would prefer this resource to have 12+ years of overall IT experience. This PM needs to have experience with SAP ERP applications (preferably Supply chain and FICO) or similar platform.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Manage complex and large-scale cross-team, cross-functional initiatives for several divisions of the company.
• Interface with engineering, analytics, and data science teams to estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources.
• Ensure delivery of project scope on time while meeting or exceeding quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
• Remove any barriers that might prevent achievement of project business goals.
• Measure and track project performance using data, appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
• Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations, and provide support as well as communicate status to upper management and project stakeholders.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Good understanding of Programming paradigm, Application development, Data Pipeline, ETL and Cloud Computing.
• Understand technical implementation at the architecture level and contribute to/drive design discussions.
• Implement continuous improvements to the engineering organization and the program management process. Improve product development and delivery quality.

• 5-7 years' experience as a Project Manager with medium to large scale, enterprise applications.
• Experience working as a Project Manager in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry
• Display excellent judgment on a consistent basis.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with end users, co-workers, and management.
• Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in an organized, detail-oriented manner with appropriate follow up when required.
• Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality to the level of required HIPAA standards.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills.
• Intermediate to advanced understanding of Cloud technologies.
• Always represent the Company in a professional manner and appearance.
• Understand and internalize the Company's purpose; Display loyalty to the Company and its organizational values.
• Display enthusiasm and dedication to learning how to be more effective on the job and share knowledge with others.

Education/Experience:

• Requires a four-year college degree preferably in Computer Science/Information Technology.
• Proven ability to work well and communicate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing ERP projects with SAP Supply Chain and FICO modules.
• Experience supporting users in a heterogeneous computing environment. Extremely detail oriented combined with strong problem solving and time management skills. Able to manage multiple competing priorities and be productive with frequent interruptions.
• Experience working with project management software.
