Title: ServiceNow Developer Location: Remote (Need to work on CST) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Work with PMs, Architects and other teams to understand service and application needs, including build, deployment and management.
- Be able to develop highly available and reliable services.
- Implement monitoring, analytics and telemetry in code development.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with teams across various geographies, mainly US.
- Address critical monitoring events and escalated L1 issues.
- Train and hand over repetitive tasks to the L1 team.
- Effectively communicate progress and issues with engineering and product/project managers.
- Create and document runbooks and KT articles as it pertains to software architecture, design, troubleshooting, and support
- Create design standards and processes for microservices, UX/UI, and drive software development
- Create and design secure services according to EA and industry wide standards
- Ability to accurately estimate development efforts and coordinate with the project management teams to plan, escalate, and mitigate project risk
- Ability to self-prioritize work and simultaneously manage multiple concurrent projects
Required Technical Skills: - 4+ years of ITSM/ITOM experience as software engineer and development
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with ServiceNow ITSM, HRSD, CMDB and integration with other external modules.
- Manage data with tables in the ITSM/HRSD modules and its Data Sources
- MID Server configurations for Integrations & data pull
- Customizes ServiceNow configuration, including custom scripts
- Experienced with building custom portals and service forms
- Configure access restriction on Tables and fields, based user groups
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow components like Business Rules, Client Scripting, UI Policies, ACLs, CSS,Properties,UI pages, Workflows, Contexts etc
- Develop Client scripts, Business Rules, Web Service Import sets, Transform Maps & scripted web service
- Demonstrated experience programming and administering Service-Now in a large enterprise environment.
- Solid developer experience independent of the ServiceNow platform, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid skills using the ServiceNow platform: developing APIs via script including competency of client and server APIs, Service Portal work leveraging Angular, mobile, integration hub, etc.
- Demonstrated skills in application and services development using applications such as REST, SOAP, JavaScript, AngularJS, CSS, and XML
- Familiar with Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or Administrator
- Experience with working on operational activities and solving user queries.
- Develop APIs for automating L1 tasks for various products, developing scripts for automations.
- Use and develop monitoring tools for different projects/products.
- Experience creating, managing, and deploying services via CI/CD pipelines
- Good understanding of IT security principles
- Experience working with Gitlab, Jira, Confluence, and Postman
- Experience obtaining and understanding business requirements and translating these requirements into technical deliverables
- Experience creating technical documentation
- Excellent ability to learn new skills and adapt to a new environment
- Experience developing Agile and Waterfall execution environment
- Desire to learn new skills and grow professionally
Required Certifications - ITIL v4 (or higher) certification
- Certified Application Developer (CAD) on a recent SN platform release
- Certified Application Specialist (CAS) on a recent SN platform release
