Seeking a senior SQL Developer who has experience working on projects that involve " Market Risk” and "Credit Risk”. They can be anywhere in the country, but they have to have " Market Risk” and "Credit Risk” on their resume and be able to discuss. Client has been asking for resumes on a daily basis.

We need a very senior SQL engineer with experience with Risk / Analytics systems. *******CANDIDATES MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH RISK/QUANT AND OR ANYLYSIS IN A FINANCIAL/BANKING/TRADING ENVIRONMENT. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME SQL ENGINEERS WITH NO FINANCIAL RISK EXPERIENCE. THIS IS 100% REMOTE. THIS MOST LIKELY BE A CANDIDATE COMING OUT OF A BROKERAGE, HEDGE FUND OR TRADING COMPANY LIKE MORGAN STANLY.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role will be the fifth role on the "Risk / Quant / Analytics” team headed up by the Head of Analytics. This team manages all Risk / Quant systems and processes. This role will be taking over daily / overnight batch and reporting processes, data validation, release management, testing and other aspects of the Quant / Analytics processes. The goal is to "maintain and improve” in all cases – we want a self-starter who will be able to cover all of these items and then grow in the role, taking on significant application development responsibilities over time.

The candidate must have excellent communication skills, a passion for great software, and a positive attitude.

There is potential for a top performer to convert to a full time role after 1-2 years consulting, if desired.

Requirements

• 10 years SQL Server TSQL Development experience and ability to do high quality / optimized stored procedure work
• Experience in an intense small team environment performing mission-critical tasks
• Excellent communication skills

Recommended

• Experience with Risk / Analytics systems
• Experience working with Offshore Teams
• BS in Computer Science (or related discipline)
• Powershell scripting (we have approx. 1500 PS1 scripts running)
• Scheduling / Monitoring Vendor Systems (for Batch Processing)
• DevOps / Release Management experience
• Data Visualization (we use Tableau)
• Visual Studio / C# experience

GTAM Development Tools

• SQL Server 2019 / Redgate tools (SQL Prompt / SQL Compare)
• Git Version Control
