I have an urgent opening of Kubernetes Engineer/ Architect at remote position
Position Type: Contract
Location: Hopkinton, MA, United States
Description:
Visa: USC, GC, GC-EAD
Location: 100% Remote.
Duration: 9 months with possible extensions
Technical Requirements:
• Total 8 + years of working experience in Engineering of Infrastructure, cloud and application servers with minimum 2 years' experience in Container technologies and cloud foundry platform.
• Proven expertise in Kubernetes Container Orchestration, Docker Containers.
• Create automation, employ open source software, interact with API's, and enable CI/CD to create new cloud features, harvest/visualize metrics, monitor health/performance/capacity, etc.
• Cloud building blocks - compute, storage, network, tools & automation.
• App development experience
• Experience with Rancher, Azure, AWS, or VMware Tanzu
• Experience resolving app/developer issues while using Kubernetes/container platform
• Experience with VMware (ESX,NSX, & Tanzu/PKS) technologies is a strong plus
• Platform design, implementation and operations in Cloud IaaS and PaaS environments (major in Cloud Foundry, Docker, and Kubernetes minor in VMWare).
• Deployment and operations of containers using Docker / Kubernetes.
• Solid Linux experience, experience with DevOps tooling such as Puppet, BOSH
• Innovating with open source software to create production services.
• Understanding of modern data platforms such as Reddis , RabbitMQ
• Hands-on, in-depth experience with diverse HTTP/JEE/Middleware products and solutions
• Broad knowledge in systems telemetry and monitoring (Nagios, ELK, New Relic, AppDynamics, Splunk, etc.). Must have experience in ELK setup .
• Understanding of cloud application design principles.
• Experience in VMware ESX, storage technologies and network technologies is must .
• Ensure that the container orchestration platform (Docker/Kubernetes) is maintained properly by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, performance and system health.
• Solid knowledge of monitoring tools and fine-tuning alerts on Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic search.
• Monitor, prevent and troubleshoot security related issues.
• Experience with Mesos DC/OS, Rancher and Docker Swarm is an advantage.
• PaaS oriented deployment and implementations using Cloud Foundry is a plus
