Job description:

Minimum Required Skills

• CCNA or CCNP (Routing and Switching) is required
• Cisco Experience 4 to 7 years routing and switching
• Aruba Wireless Network assessment, design and deployment experience may be preferred
• Full-time experience with medium to large scale enterprise networks (4+ years)
• Experience with Cisco Systems switches and routers. (3+ years)
• Experience working with telecommunication vendors like Telecommunication, Level 3
• Experience with TCP/IP, routing/switching concepts, and common routing protocols.
• Knowledge proficiency with LAN/Switching technologies including Cisco VSS, StackWise plus, VPC and Etherchannel.
• Able to design and implement configuration solutions to meet customer requests.
  Knowledge proficiency with Cisco IOS with hands-on experience configuring Cisco routers, switches and firewalls
• Knowledge proficiency with IOS, NX-OS, EIGRP, BGP, and GRE
• Knowledge proficiency with WAN technologies including MPLS, QoS, SDWAN and circuiting.
• Knowledge and experience with Network management tools (i.e., Solar Winds, DNAC)
• Ability to effectively communicate, present and articulate strategies across various audiences; partners, clients, consultants, executive leaders (internal and external)
  Racking, stacking and patching experience with cabling
• Able to build and maintain configuration templates guided by reference architectures and networking best practices.
• Verbal and written skills reflecting an ability to express oneself clearly and articulately. Fluency in technical terms relevant to networking.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Executes regular planned implementation and testing activities. Ensures network infrastructure is fully compliant with security guidelines.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
• Documents architectures, as-builts and project deliverables, both in text and diagram form.
• Contributes to the formulation and implementation of installation configuration templates and procedures.

Conditions for Full-Time conversion

• An outstanding candidate will convert later to full-time if he or she is a right fit.
• All work onsite at the customer sites in the state of Texas.
• The onsite work at customer offices are expected to be performed before, after or during business hours.
• Must be great communicator and must be very professional. The work will be conducted at customer sites through the state of Texas.
• Will be deploying routers and switches.

 

Education

• A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is preferred accompanied with designated certifications.
• Candidates should have a desire to gain technical skills through advanced certifications or other similar achievements
