Accountabilities Knowledge / Skills / Abilities • Manage multiple medium to large complex technology-related projects with cross-functional teams and vendors simultaneously and effectively. • Apply expert level project and organizational knowledge, leadership and active facilitation to enable effective execution of project activities. • Develop deployment plans and strategies, working collaboratively with business stakeholders to deliver solutions on business critical IT infrastructure - network, compute, storage, cloud, web services, virtualization, end user computing. • Drive project planning and control from an operational point of view and apply relevant project standards and practices to ensure the overall project objectives, schedules, budget, and quality metrics are achieved. • Organize and lead multi-dimensional teams from various groups within IT to execute on Network and Core Infrastructure initiatives. • Provide direction on work activities relative to assigned projects, manage vendor relationships (as it pertains to project schedule and deliverables) working closely with the leadership team in Network Services, Core Infrastructure and Security. • Ensure effective quality assurance and coherence with Enterprise Architecture, Technology Governance standards, Infrastructure policies and other organizational requirements. • Report status and develop recommendations on project risks, issues and roadblocks; recommend strategies that provide the basis for project stakeholders/sponsors to make business critical decisions to resolve.
Required • University degree, diploma from a recognized institution, or applicable experience in the Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Commerce or Engineering field supplemented by management training • A minimum of 8 years progressive experience in Project Management • Proven track record leading and successfully deploying large-scale, high-risk, or strategic infrastructure and technology projects • Experience engaging and managing technology vendors in support of project delivery objectives. • Demonstrated ability to think strategically when planning, establishing delivery approach, identifying issues/risks and driving recommendations for resolution. • Skillful use of interpersonal skills and influence to accomplish work and to ensure optimal team performance • Excellent communication and customer service skills – demonstrated ability to work with executive, mid management and front line levels of the organization • Strong experience facilitating project team meetings, cross-functional communication ,decision making, and ensuring alignment with stakeholders • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams (including offshore team members) • Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines Preferred: • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) accreditation preferred • Previous work experience at Enbridge or large complex organization • Previous work experience in TIS group within Enbridge
