this is a hands-on technical role
Position Summary:
Business System analyst with testing experience. The testing experience should include experience in Unit testing, functional testing, dev testing, UAT testing etc. |
Responsibilities: - Generating interface mapping documents based on business and technical needs
- Participate in software development groups and teams in requirements gathering, analysis, design, risk mitigation, programming/construction, unit testing and transition of applications into a production environment.
- Develop, review and execute Test Cases, Test Plans, and Test Procedures in manual and automated test environments.
- Documenting issues or bugs and their progress in JIRA
- Communicating with other members of the Development and Software Testing Teams
- using the plan to assess functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other systems
- Analyze/document new and existing processes and procedures
- Work with system developers, test teams, process managers, and end users to ensure proposed solution is delivered according to schedule and with the required functionality
Other Requirements (Specialized skill sets, behavioral/technical): - Must have experience with SOAP UI testing for soap web services / REST API
- Good understanding of XML and JSON is required
- Good experience with AWS including strong knowledge of SQS/SNS, S3, DynamoDB, CloudWatch is required
- Splunk experience is a plus
- Ability to write and execute queries against databases would be beneficial
- Prior experience with software testing standards, practices, methods and tools
- Adept in using JIRA tool for project tracking and defect management.
- Agile and Scrum certification is a plus but not required.
- Some knowledge of AWS SAM / CloudFormation is a plus
- Proven ability to work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously (balance workload)
Relevant Years of Experience Required: - 5+ years of experience in defining/developing software products requirements and/or managing software development efforts.
