Job description:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field.

Experience

5 years professional full-stack experience with a focus on enterprise Java based frameworks like Spring Boot/MVC.
2 years of experience building enterprise software in a team environment
Strong knowledge on Domain driven design (DDD) for data modeling, Object Oriented Programming and UI/UX design principles
Experience consuming Web services/RESTful APIs with web applications
Proficient with JavaScript Frameworks, HTML 5, CSS, Sass, JSON, XML and SQL
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum based development methodologies

Pike Street Labs is looking for a Front End Developer to join our software engineering team and work on applications built with the Mendix low-code platform. We are a highly seasoned development team that builds platforms and user experiences for our parent company, WaFd Bank. By working with us you will design and build software at scale, utilizing the most modern development technologies and techniques.

This primary responsibility for this position is to design, code, and unit testing new features to support the WaFd online banking platform. You'll be part of a scrum-based team that will follow agile methodology to deliver new features and user experiences for WaFd Bank clients on an approximate 8-week cadence

 Develop online banking features using the Mendix platform -- training will be provided

Integrate with APIs that largely rely on our REST API architecture
Contribute to the ideas and design of new features and functions
Meet with the product team members to understand business requirements
Maintain strong working relationships within Pike Street Labs and our parent company, WaFd Bank
Assist in ensuring project timelines are met and features are being delivered in a timely manner
Troubleshoot, on occasion, problems that may arise in our production environments
