TITLE: SAP UI5 Developer
Position Type: Right to Hire
Location: Remote, TX, United States
Description:
Location/Zip:  San Antonio (Remote) with some initial onsite
Visa:  USC GC GC EAD

# Resources:  One (Contract to hire with sponsorship an option)
 
Start Date: 2/14/22, duration 6 months plus
 
Role (Functional/Technical):  Technical-UI5 Developer
 
Skills:  Good understanding of object oriented programming, MVC and Data modelling concepts.  Strong skills in SAP UI5, CSS, HTML5, JavaScript, SAP Fiori.  Ability to take high level functional design documents and develop ABAP solutions independently. Strong full lifecycle ABAP custom development skills including BAPI/BADI/Enhancement Framework, workflows and Dialog programmingBRF plus, ALE / IDOC, RAP. Understanding of SAP Data migration via SLT and SDA.
 
 
Role Summary: There is a point of confusion around custom UI5 development and Fiori development. Fiori is mostly configuration with some minor development that involves extending standard applications and services. This does involve UI5 development but it is not as detailed as our projects.
Valero's development involves full blown custom UI5 applications (reusable controls) with extensive use of JavaScript and multiple data models.
 
For Backend development we utilize a lot of new features from Restful ABAP programming model (RAP) which are not very common yet.
 
 
Experience:   Experience in working with S4 Hana, Gateway Services, OData, CDS views and BOPF.  Experience in delivering complex ABAP developments independently. Middleware - SAP PI, Web methods experience preferred. 

Intangibles:  Work is remote. Strong comm. skills are required.
