Agile Business Analyst

Location – Atlanta, GA (Remote Start)

 

Max rate is $50/hrs on c2c and experience in Agile is must to have

The Agile Business Analyst (ABA) works with the Product Owner, Subject Matter Experts, and Scrum teams to realize the product vision. They act as a liaison between Product and Technical groups, to refine Product Backlog Items (PBI), decompose them into User Stories, and elaborate with Acceptance Criteria. They support the Scrum team throughout the sprint, as needed.  

Schedule User Story Writing sessions with the Product Owner, Subject Matter Experts, and technical team, own the agenda, and drive the process forward. 

Revise Epic/Feature-requests in conjunction with the Product Owner to ensure the team understands the problem being solved, the desired outcomes, and the high-level business objectives, as needed. 

Decompose requests into User Stories, and capture the team’s shared understanding of the Product Owner’s desired outcomes in the Acceptance Criteria, using an iterative approach. 

Collaborate with UX Designers to create designs based on a User Story’s desired outcomes. 

Ensure the development and testing teams are clear on a User Story’s “definition of done” before they start work, and support them throughout the sprint, as needed.

Minimum of three years of experience working with an agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) decomposing PBIs into User Stories, and writing Acceptance Criteria using Gherkin (given-when-then) format. Ability to articulate the attributes of a good User Story. 

Ability collaborate with Product Owners to understand and refine the problem being solved, and the desired outcomes for the future state. Ability to understand and revise the personas for the Epic/Feature-request, and incorporate into the development of the User Journey to facilitate the decomposition of the PBI into User Stories. 

Ability to effectively understand and present complex information, in both oral and written formats. Ability to collaborate with UX designers to create designs based on a User Story’s desired outcomes. 

Ability to act as a liaison between the business and IT stakeholders. 

Ability to form a strong, working relationship with the Product Owner; understand the product vision; be able to represent the Product Owner’s vision to the business and IT stakeholders, as needed. 

Eagerness to contribute ideas for continuous improvement. 

Located in North America, or ability to work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM U.S. Eastern Standard Time.
