Senior/Lead Software QA Analyst Location: Wilmington – DE, or NYC.
We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Software QA Engineer to join and lead our QA team. The scope of testing includes client and web interface testing, performance, database, multi-tier architecture, web services, event messaging and business process testing. Primary Duties and Responsibilities · Participate in requirements and design reviews, representing QA to assess quality and collect insight to help the team prepare testing · Manage and coordinate off-shore QA resources on story priorities, progress and team capacity, relaying relevant details with on-site management · Drive automated testing initiatives via Selenium · Create web services test suites via SOAP UI and Postman · Be able to provide different statistical reports to leaders about stories · Capture data for metrics in test planning, execution, and defect management · Build automation frameworks and libraries for regression testing · Create and maintain test plans and test cases, following best practices such that everyone will execute and evaluate the tests in the same way · Able to understand/analyze Data mapping documents and write SQL queries to verify Data Completeness and Data Correctness · Worked extensively in all the phases of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) · Contribute to process improvements in QA · Execute tests you author, in addition to tests created by other team members · Attending walkthroughs, raising clarifications with BA and sharing KT with the Team · Good interpersonal skills and zeal to learn new technologies and undertake challenging tasks. · Ability to work as independent as well as a team member in challenging and cross platform environment · Production Support: · Support customer services in reproducing and characterizing production defects, providing a resolution if possible, or relay findings to the development team if needed · Test major and minor releases as needed · Be able to co-ordinate and support different types of patch and maintenance activities organized by various teams · Help define QA strategy, operating guidelines and best practices · Provide estimates to contribute to QA project planning · Assess test coverage and identify gaps; make recommendations using a risk-based approach · Provide detailed defect information, driving escalation as appropriate · Run performance benchmarks · Provide input into usability and reliability of our products Required Experience/Skills: · At least four years of test automation experience for both GUI and API testing · Experience in SOAP UI, Postman, Selenium, Load/performance testing tools · Good understanding of Security Testing · Experience with Defect management tools (VersionOne, Jira), Build, Deploy and version management tools (Jenkins and GitHub) · Experience with leading teams (ensure all team members have adequate work, relaying statuses to management, communication of issues, forecasting future work, etc…) · Database/SQL test experience · Excellent knowledge of test processes and methods · Solid knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and tools · Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
