Job Description â" Insurance Application Support Analyst
Location â" Toronto, Canada
Billing Rate â" 55 CAD Per Hour
Experience â" 6+ Years and relevant AS experience is morethan 4 years

· Provide Tier 2 (In-depth technical support) andTier 3 (Expert Product and Service Support) for replicating problems andproviding root cause analysis
· Identify and resolve incidents through ourticketing system and provide business support
· Testing and deploying new enhancements at therequest of the business and vendors
· Creating new or updates existing documentationfor new processes or procedures
· Perform ongoing system maintenance andmonitoring to ensure adherence to contracted service level agreements
· Maintain effective relationships with businessusers and other IT teams
· Learn on the job and explore new technologieswith little supervision
· Identify efficient solutions to eliminate workfrom your team (increase operational efficiency and flexibility)
· Ensure proper escalation processes are followedand exceptions within your authority are properly documented at all times
· Working with external vendors to maintain allintegration points
Job Requirements
· College or University degree in InformationTechnology or Computer related studies preferred
· Working experience supporting Guidewire /Insurance Systems (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claims Center)
· Working experience supporting documentmanagement systems (OnBase, SmartComm)
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers
· Working knowledge of Java, Tomcat
· Working knowledge of Databases (SQL)
· Understanding of Networks and Networkingcomponents
· Demonstrate computer proficiency- Must haveexposure to all stages of the development lifecycle, from requirementsgathering through to design, development, rollout, support and maintenance
· Ability to deliver excellent customer service
· Extremely detail oriented with time andself-management skills sufficient to plan, prioritize and organize work.
· Excellent verbal communication and writingskills
· Interacts and deals with vendors for supportpurposes
· Ability to adapt to increased volumes andworkload
· Ability to work well in a team
· Roadside knowledge or experience an asset

2. GW Sr. Developer (Policy and Claim Center)

- Need to have 8+ years of GW configuration experience with at least 4 years of the Guidewire suite of products (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter), or a strong Java background.
- Should have good experience with REST/SOAP and API Web services & XML.
- Candidate will be responsible for developing new code and leveraging existing code to implement system features of medium to large complexity.
- Creating an implementation and troubleshooting plan for a single system.
- Candidate will be responsible for Identifying and recommending solutions for application defects, determining root causes and minimizing the introduction of new defects.
- Will be performing unit testing and project management activities for small to medium sized initiatives, leading system development project teams and providing guidance to junior team members
- Should have an innovative mindset to improve operational efficiencies and ability to influence change, with a primary focus on client needs.
- Should use critical thinking skills to recognize assumptions, evaluate arguments, draw conclusions and proactively propose solutions.
- Should have strong communication skills to clearly convey messages and explore diverse points of view.
- Should demonstrate proficiency in all stages of the development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to design, development, rollout, support and maintenance
- Should have an experience working in an Agile development and delivery environment is an asset
