Description: JOB TITLE:

Database Administrator/Data Analytics

MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):
• Bachelor's Degree and or MBA or Technical Master's Degree. Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics and at least 2 years of working experience.
• Experience delivering technology utilizing agile methodology.
• High Level of proficiency in Excel (VBA, pivot tables, complex formulas etc.)
• Strong business acumen and the ability to build and maintain effective rapport with stakeholders.
• Knowledge/experience with web design applications (i.e., java script, aspx, html, etc.)
• Knowledge/experience with cloud applications
• Knowledge/experience with Tableau
• Knowledge/experience with SQL
• Knowledge/experience with Jira
• Knowledge/experience with Windows IIs environment and Oracle databases
• Project management or related experience.
• A customer-centric work ethic.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated experience with verbal & written communications including conflict resolution skills.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office product suite, including PowerPoint, Excel & Word.
• Ability and desire to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Experience troubleshooting, debugging software related issues.
• Experience installing software, patches, and updates
• Experience troubleshooting basic network issues.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and responsibly with minimal supervision.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Worked with Teradata, Hadoop
• Proficiency in predictive modeling and analytics
• Fleet experience or an interest in fleet.
• Experience with Chevin's FleetWave product (or other fleet management products).
• Knowledge/experience with cloud applications.
• ITIL and/or Six Sigma certification.
• Working knowledge of Google Suite including Gmail, Calendar, Google Forms, Google Docs, Google Slides, and Google Sheets


JOB DUTIES:

• Owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests.
• Fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs.
• Reviewing service-related reports (e.g. database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure operational issues are identified and resolved promptly.
• Responding to database related alerts and escalations and working with database engineering to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems.
• Enhancing automation for database platform provision process.
• Enhancing database monitoring & alerting platforms to ensure proactive alerting is always achieved.
• Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
• Follow best practices in data modeling including the use of standard naming conventions.
• Providing technical expertise in data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.
• Partner with IT to optimize data structures for data integration and reporting.
• Manage Tier 1 escalations and provide system support but not limited to business partner access, support, and guidance.
• Data mine, build, and develop complex reporting from various source systems, and perform analytics to support and propose direction on strategic business decisions.
• Support all Fleet web based applications (design, enhancements, and debugging, etc.)
• Provide basic training/support in accessing the network and use of various applications. Training end-users on new reports and dashboards.
• Develop and manage process documentation not limited to job aids, training manuals, and playbooks.
• Collaborate with Fleet business partners, facilitating team meetings, capturing meeting minutes, and integrating action items into project deliverables and Sprints.
• Support customer implementation of recommended actions and track realization of cost savings and other relevant metrics through dashboard and reviews.
• Retrieve, analyze, and transform into creative, aesthetically-pleasing visualizations in Tableau that provide insight in subject areas and invoke action.
• Conduct performance analysis and tuning, index, maintenance, monitoring, and disaster recovery of data.
• Assist with the creation, migration, and maintenance of database objects across development, UAT, and production environments.
• Engage with stakeholders to analyze strategy and business processes related to existing or proposed systems to identify enhancements.
• Participate in the software testing process, including identification and resolution of defects.
• Maintain databases and perform updates as necessary to ensure accuracy
• Regularly examine data reports to locate and resolve mistakes throughout
• Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports
• Communicate the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers
• Support various departments, including marketing and sales, in reaching their goals through analysis
• Monitor data to identify changes in financial and business trends

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
