Sr. Hadoop Administration Specialist

Rate: $55/hr on $57/hr on C2C

Job Description:
• Expert knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop components such as HDFS, Sentry, HBase, Impala, Hue, Spark, Hive, Kafka, Kudu, Phoenix, Ozone, Ranger, Atlas, Knox, NiFi, YARN, ZooKeeper and Postgres
• You have a good knowledge in Cloudera CDH and CDP Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools like Cloudera Manager as well as performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop MapReduce routines. You build and maintain positive relationships with your colleagues from other application teams to install Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades
• Previous experience of Cloudera CDH to Cloudera CDP migration a plus
• Fine tune Hadoop applications for high performance and throughput. Troubleshoot and debug any Hadoop ecosystem run time issues
• Expert level knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop components such as HDFS, Sentry, HBase, Impala, Hue, Spark, Hive, Kafka, YARN, ZooKeeper and Postgres
• Expert level proficiency in Python, Ansible, Salt and dev ops technologies
• Expert in Linux and BASH scripting. An understanding of Unix/Linux including system administration
• Work in teams and collaborate with others to clarify requirements
• Assist in documenting requirements as well as resolve conflicts or ambiguities
• Tune Hadoop solutions to improve performance and end-user experience
• Service Management i.e. Release management, Change management, Incident management
• Experience with deployment toolsets like Odyssey, Git
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present deep technical findings to a business audience
