Position - Data Architect – Data/AI
Location - Remote
Overall industry experience: 12+ Years
Location: They will be required to be onsite as required
The candidate is expected to be a senior data architect and consultant who can interact with clients and lead technical and business discussions, understand business needs, guide client on architecture options, solution components for identified business scenarios and help with the design, build and implementation of the Data and Analytics capability. An ideal candidate must have been in a Data & Analytics Architecture consulting role where she/he must have led the setup of several complex data and analytics solutions on cloud and on-prem with multiple integrations and end user reporting needs
Role and Responsibilities
- Role – Sr. Consultant (Data & Analytics Architect - Azure). The role is a combination of consulting, solutioning and hands-on experience.
- Showcase excellent written and verbal communication
- Lead conversations with Customer team to understand requirements
- Based on requirements establish clear outcome and value matrix for business, and get concurrence with customer team
- Understand customer’s current Data and Analytics landscape in varied technologies – partly on Azure and partly on Oracle, SQL Server and other Database, ETL and BI technologies
- Envision architecture and solution design to meet objectives defined for outcome and value matrix, and get concurrence with customer team
- Create implementation plan and work with WinWire team throughout design-develop-deploy phase.
- Provide hands on code review, provide guidance to the delivery team.
- Work on enabling services on Azure – Data Lake, ADF, Synapse, SQL DB, Power BI and defining the end to end Data, ETL and reporting architecture and design
- Proactively identify and analyse potential issues (technical, functional, process) and brainstorm with right stakeholders (WinWire and/or Customer) to produce mutually acceptable solutions
- Plan and deliver periodic (for each milestone) review/demo with customer to showcase the progress. Should keep progress mapped to defined outcome and value matrix, and share same with customer during reviews
- If required, help customer define and implement user adoption plan and/or training
Technical Skills
Data Analytics
1. Expertise on Microsoft Azure Data services – Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse (DW), Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and other real time integration
2. Must have worked on several (3+) projects building solutions for Data Pipelines, Data warehousing, Data Modelling on Azure Data Platform
3. Expertise in designing the Data Lake, DB schema, data models for large scale data platform implementation on Azure
4. Expertise working with Azure Data Factory and/or Databricks to build data movement pipelines from relational/structured/unstructured data from source to data lake to data warehouse, on Azure
5. Data migration experience from On Prem and Cloud platforms to Azure like (On-prem SQL/Oracle/Teradata to Azure PaaS)
6. Experience in leading and driving Data Governance initiative at organization level, by engaging right people at right level.
- As Data Governance SME, should have experience in effectively engage organization’s key stakeholders and management team to define Data Governance Framework, tailored for organization
7. Understands and can consult on the following key topics.
a. Data Governance
b. Data ingestion and integration approaches
c. Data Analytics
d. KPI definitions
e. Data visualization option leveraging Power BI
f. Master Data Management
8. Knowledge/experience of ML/AI platforms and how to leverage them for solutions involving customer data analytics, retail store operations etc.
Reporting and Analytics
1. Expertise in designing and implementing reporting and analytical solutions on Power BI Platform
- Power BI (shared and dedicated capacity)
- Power BI Analytical reports and Paginated reports
2. Expertise in designing visualizations on Power BI platform
- Designing Reports against cloud and on-prem data sources
- Good knowledge of working with Enterprise Gateway, data refreshes scheduled through service, or through REST APIs
- Expertise in building and refining Power BI data models using DAX.
- Power BI Dataflows
3. BI / reporting migration experience from other tools to Power BI
Hands-on with minimum experience with
1. Power BI (2+ years)
2. Azure Data Platform (3+ years) – Data Lake, DW, Integration services (ADF, Eventhub)
3. SQL Server - must have 5+ Yrs. experience
4. Azure ML (1 year)
5. Designing complex and large database schema, data models
6. Programming and optimizing DB objects Views, Stored Procs, Functions
Others
1. Experience in retail and library systems will be highly preferred.
2. Experience with designing global scale data solutions, adhering to local regional complianes will be highly preferred.
