Position:  API Developer

Location: Eagan, MN – Remote to Start

Duration: EOY + Possible Extension

Client: Prime Therapeutics - IT

Rate: $60/Hr. on C2C

 

Required Skills

Looking for a lead level contractor.  Someone that understands API development at a very detailed level. Need someone to jump in and hit the ground running. Someone that could help mentor junior level developers.

 

Must Have's:

 1. Independently developed SOAP and REST APIs - 8+ years designing and developing APIs

2. Data Mapping and Data Modeling experience

3. Ability to complete analysis (not just heads-down development); work with Product Owners to help clarify requirements for solution

• Developers need to be comfortable doing some deep dive analysis in addition to coding – need to dig in a little deeper, not just have work fed to them

• Don't need to have WS02 as long as they have another ESB technology and understand they will need to be trained in WS02

• 1 of the 2 roles needs to have someone who can focus on Drools or similar toolset – HARD requirement

• Jenkins ideal but any automation will do

• Need to be comfortable working in Agile environment

• Need to help with advice on API designs and solutions

• Independently advise - this is a senior level role

• There are some legacy APIs written in Java that

Basic Qualifications

1. Java

 2. WS02 or similar (preferred, but not required)

3. Drools, or similar

4. XSD, WDSL

5. Jenkins and Bitbucket, or similar

6. SQL

 

Job Description:
Expanding NCPDP transaction set to Medicare –starting with clinical in December. APIs are SOAP based as Pega requires this

Interaction level with Management/Team Members:

·         Daily interactions with Product Team (Scrum Master, Product Owners, Analysts, Engineers, QA)

·         Bi-weekly meetings with Manager

 

Skills Overview:

Qualifications/years of experience:

1.       8+ years designing and developing APIs

 

Additional Requirements:

1.       Experience in Agile

2.      Experience working with Middleware for API implementation and integration

3.      Ability to advise on API designs and solutions

4.      Review APIs (developed by a separate team) for intake and ownership into Clinical team
