Title: Lead Deployment and QA Consultant
Location: Remote (Eastern Time Zone)
Duration: 6 months
We are currently seeking a LEAD Deployment and QA Consultant that will work as part of a project team implementing quality standards and deployment guidelines across a Workday Financials and a Billing system implementation.
The person is expected to support both in the management of Testing and Deployment.
The Deployment portion of the role would ideally provide heavy support to the assigned Deployment Lead to alleviate some of the responsibilities the PM currently has. The role includes collecting, planning, and coordinating ALL the steps involved with cutting over a Billing and A/R solution that has 60% custom software and 40% Commercial (goTransverse and Workday).
The Testing role will support certain aspects of testing – whether that be environment requirements and management, management of test case development/approval, test data, partnering with the business to onboard testing teams and coordinate contributions/participation of the testing team.
In this role, it will be important to have a good grasp of the basic accounting processes (AR, Close), the basic data migrations (active customers, open invoices) and the basis capabilities of the application. A smooth deployment is more about orchestrating the flow of data, and business processes than about moving code and updating configuration.
Job Description:
With the emphasis on the deployment aspect of this role, The client is looking for an experienced Lead Business Systems Analyst to join an ongoing Workday Financials deployment. The analyst will join a team responsible for deploying a global financials solution for a large cloud-based client. In this role you will provide operational support and will lead change throughout the company while supporting the Workday Financials deployment.
The analyst will work with Accounting and Finance and other cross-functional internal users to understand business requirements, configure, test, and implement Workday functionality to meet the organization's technology needs. It will include the coordination of system upgrades, enhancements, integration, and maintenance. Working with the business process owners, you will help them understand and prep for what will be needed to be accomplished in the weeks before the GoLive, and in the weeks to follow.
In this role, you must be comfortable owning business relationships, running meetings with project stakeholders. You must understand dependencies, risks, and cross-functional system impacts. You will lead change management, communication, and training to drive adoption and roll-out new functionality to system users. You view the business as your customer and bring initiative, self-direction, and ability to meet deadlines while understanding when to escalate issues and risks.
Major Responsibilities:
- Support the Workday Financials in various areas including, Accounting (General Ledger and Reporting), Customers Accounts, etc.
- Meet and exceed customer expectations through proactive communication and business partnership
- Review stakeholder input critically and play a role in designing and recommending the best deployment solutions
- Adhere to change management, maintain data integrity, and establish a well-controlled systems environment by defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
- Demonstrate accountability for solutions delivered and overall work quality. Understand technical systems infrastructure and company business processes and workflow.
- Create and test business process workflow, custom fields, custom validations, integrations, and access rights
- Identify process or system improvements that drive the most value
- Develop and maintain necessary end user training procedures, guidelines, and standard operating policies (SOPs) and data/workflow diagrams
- Provide daily operational support, training and increase user engagement
- Provide incident management. Perform troubleshooting and resolve production issues timely.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years working in Finance or Accounting applications, and good acumen and knowledge of internal controls, revenue recognition (ASC 606) and financial reporting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and implementing strategies to enhance business performance (client billing solutions, a plus) and in application management and deployment (configuration, integration monitoring and security administration)
- Experience scoping and executing QA and UAT test cycles
- Experience in process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes (Six Sigma certification, internal audit experience a plus)
- Solid organizational skills, proven ability to prioritize and deliver quality results on time
