Title: Data Modeler
Location: Blue Bell, PA​​​​​​​
Interview: Phone and Skype

The position is remote initially but will need to be on site post Covid. The interview process is two steps and contract will be for 1 year w/extensions. The resource needs to be ok with data modeling, data mapping, and coding.The top skills are Data Factories, SSIS, Inmon methodology, SQL, Oracle, and JSON.

UBC has made it pretty clear they have an extremely tight budget due to pandemic so going over rate by a lot no matter how senior the person is won't be an option

• Performs data warehouse modeling, mapping and coding
• Inmon with Kimball experience methodology
• 3 5 years' experience in data warehousing or ETL experience
• Ability to perform independent data analysis on a database to define the data requirements and development
• Ability to work with business stakeholders: Excellent comm skills needed
• Top 5 technical skills (in order of importance): Data Factories (Azure), SSIS, Inmon methodology, SQL, Oracle, JSON
• A person who can be placed in a project and work independently to directly interacting with a pharma operation team to gather requirements and support the data needs of the project
• Analyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.
• Evaluating existing data systems.
• Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.
• Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.
• Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
• Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.
• Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.
• Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.
• Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.
• Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models.
• Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy.
• Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects.
• Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata.
• Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.
