Duration: 12+ Months
Job Description:
· 5-6 years Hands on w/ Hortonworks ecosystem apps and services like Ambari, YARN, Hive, spark, zeppelin, etc.
· Manage several Hadoop clusters in development and production environments
· Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools like, Cloudebreak, Ambari, YARN
· Manage Hadoop environments and perform setup, administration, and monitoring tasks
· Perform analysis and provide input to support capacity planning and solution design decision
· Conduct performance tuning and capacity management
· Screen Hadoop cluster job performances and capacity planning
· Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters and Hadoop MapReduce routines
· Familiarity with open source configuration management and deployment tools such as Puppet or Chef and Linux scripting
· Manage and review Hadoop log files
· Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures
· File system management and monitoring
· Establish and maintain a configuration management and change management system for controlling work products
· Assist application development teams during application design and development for highly complex and critical data projects
· Assist development team in identifying the root cause of slow performing jobs / queries (HDFS)
· Develop tools and utilities to administer Hadoop jobs, manage queues and monitor performance
· Work with IT Service Management and other groups and make sure that all events, incidents and problems are resolved as per the SLA
· Monitor running applications and provide guidance for improving DB performance for developers2004
