Position: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Location: Rockville, MD

Duration: 6 Months+

 

 

The position is on a long term contract basis, with chance to become a permanent employee if desired. The successful candidate will work in a fast paced environment, primarily working on back-end app dev/testing. Candidates must know Java and AWS.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Master's Degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of demonstrable hands-on back-end development/testing experience.
• Understanding of front end testing tools e.g. Junit
• 2-3 years’ experience using AWS: EC2, EMR, S3, Lambda, RDS.
• At a minimum, candidates should possess skills / experience including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Ability to analyze and linearize algorithms
  • Understand how to use data structures correctly
  • Development and programming experience in Java / J2EE / JS
  • Candidates should have experience throughout all phases of the SDLC; specific testing experience should include:
    • Execution of test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
    • Testing system modifications to prepare for implementation
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills, and learn new tools quickly
