1. Senior iOS development experience with coding in Swift 4+; specialization in NATIVE mobile app dev to understand complex code base.
2. Open minded and flexible to adapting to change
3. Xcode and experience creating own frameworks in a "modules" environment
4. Experience working on the end to end app- someone who is knowledgeable of the big picture impact versus working on a small part of a big app.
5. Strong experience with common design patterns as well as a grasp on the common pitfalls and being aware of the client/server interaction
6. Ability to think in an architectural mindset and an independent solution driven ability; not being an "order taker"
**Seeking a PASSIONATE mobile developer- ideally home run candidate will have had several personal apps in App Store**

Description
American Airlines mobile software engineers work with other team members to produce customer facing mobile applications that provide a superior user experience and support key business objectives. Developers participate in all aspects of application development including design, development and delivery using an Agile process.
Responsibilities:
• Create awesome experiences for millions of customers
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product owners to bring customer focused features to life
• Write quality code that is efficient, maintainable and will scale across teams
• Own your code from conception to production
• Work with customer support and product owners to pivot on features and address reported bugs
Additional Information
Looking to move towards a "T" shaped engineer environment- well rounded skills fullstack but deep in one thing. Would be a bonus for the candidate to have Java, REST based JSON APIs, automation and Jenkins experience.
The key things the Tech Leads/Architects are looking for:
1. Must have Native iOS mobile development- senior level in their mind does not relate to years of experience but instead skill level
2. Hands on experience with code/NOT just theory
3. Experience with common design patterns
 Understanding big picture and common pitfalls to be aware of
 Understanding how client/server interacts together
4. Knowing different features of Swift language well
5. Seeking PASSIONATE developer- ideally someone who has had 1 or several personal apps in the app store- shows a lot about someone’s ability if it is outside of work experience
6. Someone who does not just work on a small part of a large app- instead looking for mobile application experience end to end â€" someone who gets the BIG PICTURE
7. Ability to navigate Xcode
8. Architectural mindset
 Aka if I make this “x†change to the application- what is the implication on the back end system and impact to the mobile app as a whole
9. Independent /solution driven
 They do not want a “doerâ€/order taker; they want someone to be able to think outside of box and problem solve
10. Ability to elaborate on thought process
 Does the candidate know “Why†they arrive at the answer/solution
