Description:

Responsibilities: - Produce high-quality, testable and optimally deployed code for complex trading products and components on AWS. - Technically lead a core team responsible for the migration of the core platform which comprises of Java based distributed applications using message based integration, distributed and in-memory cache using Oracle as a permanent datastore to AWS Cloud. - This will involve working on the application to meet the criteria for Cloud readiness, provide for infrastructure capabilities on the Cloud, build or leverage existing DevOps release management pipelines to automate build process, environment setups, testing scripts, deployments, and production operational metrics/debugging information. - Engages in developing proof of concepts (POCs) for new programs and conducts peer code reviews, estimation reviews. - Interacts with business users, I/T, vendors and customers to define current and future application requirements. - Involved in troubleshooting and debugging critical problems and resolving complex technical issues that may arise. - Use your strong background of AWS Cloud services, patterns, container technology, monitoring, telemetry and logging and experience in Cloud migration projects - Build and manage CI/CD workflows and complex system integrations using Python scripting language.   Minimal Qualifications: - Minimum 8- years experience Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring-boot, RESTful services (Full-stack development across distributed applications and services using Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring-boot, RESTful services and have deep knowledge of middleware Java stack, messaging technologies, containerization, web containers and test automation) - Minimum of 2-years of relevant AWS Cloud experience - Minimum of 3-years experience with event based systems, functional programming, technologies such as Scala / Akka / Camel and messaging frameworks such as Kafka and EMS - Minimum of 3-years experience of CI/CD (with tools such as Jenkins, Udeploy, Python) - Minimum 2-years experience with Oracle DB and Oracle TimesTen - Minimum 3-years experience UI Frontend frameworks like – Jquery 1.8x, Bootstrap, AngularJS, CSS3, and Java Script frameworks Preferred Skills: - AWS Certified Developer Associate / Architect Associate - You have an awareness of event-based systems, functional programming, and messaging frameworks such as Kafka and EMS - Distributed data cache management technologies - Knowledge of SQL performance tuning techniques - Experience with stock trading business functionality - Experience in one or more testing frameworks (Selenium, MS Test, etc.)

Responsibilities: Work in agile development environment analyzing Web Applicaiton to identify all impacted applications and the associated invocations of SOAP API's to be replaced by REST API's, identify system requirements, write user stories and work with entire development team. - Lead the definition of system architecture and detailed solution design that are scalable and extensible - Write concise and clear technical specifications based on analysis of complex business requirements - Define, maintain and support development environment while adopting industry best practices and tools - Ensures code reviews, unit testing and integration testing is completed efficiently and effectively - Help coordinate the delivery of technical components across internal/external technical teams. - Provide technical leadership to more junior team members of the team   Minimal Qualifications: - Minimum 8-years of experience development experience using Java EE, Spring framework, Spring Boot - Minimum 5-years of experience developing API's/Web Services (SOAP and REST), experience with Micro-Services Architecture concepts and emerging patterns such as APIs, JAX-RS, REST/JSON - Minimum 5-years of experience working in a complex web applicaiton environment with many integration points - Minimum 5-years of experience using management tools such as Jira Preferred Skills: - Experience using Client Side Technologies, including Angular - Relational databases like Oracle, MariaDB as well as no-SQL databases such as MongoDB - CI/CD tools such as Maven, Git/Stash, Jenkins, Nexus, uDeploy, Docker etc. - Experience with Micro-Services Architecture concepts and emerging patterns such as APIs, JAX-RS, REST/JSON - Expertise in building application in Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud and leveraging native services an asset - Experience using Docker containers and Cloud PaaS and orchestration services such as OpenShift highly desire
