Job Description: 



1.Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have experience working as a Business Systems Analyst
2.Must be a strong listener and writer as this person will be working with another BSA SME and will be required to document the specifications and ask necessary questions to ensure that the requirements are being captured.
3.Must have experience working in the financial services industry and experience working on regulatory, compliance or trading systems would be a plus.
4.Must be strong with SQL – ability to write SQL queries.
5.This will be working in Boston
 
THE POSITION

At Wellington, our business analysts work directly Wellington's Legal and Compliance team and are exposed to the latest industry tools and trends as well as innovative problem solving.  In addition, our business analysts contribute to all aspects of the definition, implementation, and support of the Regulatory Technology suite of applications.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Regulatory Technology Senior Systems Analyst, the individual will have the following responsibilities:
•Partner with Legal and Compliance to identify business requirements
•Document requirements and work with the development, QA, and support teams to ensure that all team members understand the business needs
•Partner with Project Managers, Technical and QA Leads on estimates, statuses, identify issues and raise risks
•Assist with system testing, deployment, training and support of our Regulatory Technologies
•Work with brokers and trading vendors to bring vendor tools into the desk
•Stay current with evolving Regulatory technology industry and technical trends to ensure systems and team are of highest caliber
 
QUALIFICATIONS
•Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
•Self-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast-paced team environment
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to build consensus and to partner with the traders and portfolio managers
•3-5 years BA or systems analysis experience in trading or investment management
•Strong SQL query skills
•Strong knowledge of risk and regulatory control workflows and compliance systems
•Previous experience working with offshore consultants a plus
• Bachelor's degree required.
