Ideal candidate will have:

5+ years of Teradata dba experience doing the following...

*Change management and incident management experience

*Code review experience (DDL & DML knowledge)

*Query optimization

*Understanding of TASM

*DSA experience with knowledge on backup / restore functionality

*Knowledge of monitoring & management of the system using ViewPoint

*Create database, users, objects and implement security as per company policies

*Analyze big tables using Atana Suite for MVC compression; and enable MVC compression on big tables to save space

*Experience with BTEQ and Shell or any scripting language

*24/7 on call support with on-call rotation

*Maintain PDCR (Performance Data Collection and Reporting)

*Generate performance and system related reports from PDCR data

*Provision Data Labs to explore and examine new ideas by combining new data with production data

Required and Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experienced level, typically 5-7 years of experience.

• Requires a strong understanding of discipline.

• Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations.

• Makes decisions within broad parameters.

• Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience.
