Role : Big Data Consultant Location: Chicago, IL and Los Angeles, CA Duration: 12+ months   Skills (Mandatory): •   Strong Hands on experience of working on -  o   Hadoop (HDP – Hortonworks or CDH - Cloudera) o   Distributed File System: HDFS / S3 / ADLS o   Apache Spark (using Python or Scala or Java or R) – RDD API, Dataframe and SparkSQL o   Apache Hive (HiveQL, Modeling and Designing Tables, Working with JSON / CSV / XML Data, Performance Tuning, Bucketing and Partitioning) o   Programming Language: Strong in at-least 1 language – Java or Scala or Python •   Strong experience of at-least 1 Data Ingestion tool – NiFi or StreamSets or Informatica or Talend or Airflow •   Excellent Verbal and Written Communication skills •   Exposure and good understanding of:  o   Data Lake, Data Hub, Data Warehousing, Metadata Cataloging o   Linux Shell Scripting o   Apache Sqoop (Importing and Exporting datasets) •   Good understanding of using GIT / TFS and experience of working on Agile projects Skills (Nice to Have): •   Knowledge of working on Traditional DWH and Relational Databases. •   Good understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning •   Experience with AWS is mandatory •   Experience of working in Insurance / Pharma / Healthcare. •   Exposure to Micro services, Containers (Docker & Kubernetes). •   Hands of experience in BI Development using Tableau or PowerBI.
