Position : Business Analyst
Location: New York City, New York, USA
Note : In – Person Interview Mandatory
Responsibilities:
· Create business requirements, specifications and other documents in support of projects. (BRD or FRD).
· Be the primary point of contact to work with the business team for developing requirements that meet the business needs of clients. Lead detailed analysis with line staff, wider Ops groups and Business units to formulate and consolidate business requirements/user stories
· Identify, capture and translate any operational requirements into clear Functional Use Cases/business processes
· Serve as a liaison between the business and IT (Dev team) to provide functional and technical solutions that meet user needs
· Identify problems within business, including through data modelling techniques.
· Analyze the structure of the business and interaction with various processes/systems, how it uses technology and what its goals are.
· Perform gap analysis of various operational and functional flows.
· Governance / stakeholder management including Issue and Risk Management analysis
· Coordination of changes across multiple teams
· Employ SQL to analyze large data sets and manage various business and functional requirements, conduct data analysis and data mapping.
· Communicate effectively with project team members and clients to report progress and identify emerging issues.
· Use various methodologies and best practices to create, manage, and execute various test strategies, plans, and scripts to support the application suites being built and deployed by the client. Conduct and coordinate UAT and Integrated UAT with end users.
· Conduct and provide end user demo of all the systems/functionalities/features deployed by the development team and translate feedback into new user requirements. Write detailed user guide and manual for all the new systems/features/functionalities deployed for end users
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with 5 years of experience
Minimum qualifications:
· Very good data analysis skills, strong problem-solving ability, logical and analytical skills
· Strong knowledge of Capital Markets Finance domain.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to operate across multiple projects
· Ability to quickly digest new information and learn new businesses and processes

· Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks
· Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
Preferred qualifications:
· Experience in the Wealth Management domain.
· Knowledge of client and account data, client onboarding in wealth management.
· Experience in Agile methodology and implementation is preferable (Able to write user stories, Maintaining Product backlog & Sprint planning, JIRA).
Technical Skills:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office tools like Excel, PowerPoint and Visio and similar Business Analysis tools to develop use case diagrams.
· Writing complex SQL queries using joins to analyst the data and extract data anomalies.
· Knowledge in Data Modelling and basic database concepts.
· Knowledge of leading BI tools would be a plus
