Hi        Hope you are doing fine!   We have this position for you, and I am looking forward to hear from you with your updated profile along with your comfort and availability about the requirement below   Linux Cloud Engineer Location: Hoboken, NJ Interview : F2F     Details:   Operating within the IT Engineering organization, the Linux Systems/Cloud Engineer will play a strategic role in designing and building out our cloud resources as part of GC's modernization initiatives. This very talented candidate will have a solid understanding of Linux systems administration and knowledge of the Microsoft Azure cloud platform and related technologies, as well as experience in engineering applications in the cloud. The candidate should have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share his/her expertise and knowledge. Must have a experience with  Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.   Responsibilities Perform system administration functions including monitoring system and network performance, troubleshooting system problems, maintaining user accounts and various tracking systems Perform operational engineering for activities which include platform upgrades, server patching, monitoring, configuration, and troubleshooting. Perform Shell scripting Actively manage cloud accounts (Azure) and make recommendations on how best to support our infrastructure and interact with Developers and Architects in cross-functional areas Install, configure, automate, and monitor various cloud services Provide periodic off-hours on-call support for production and development environments. Work closely with a team of architects, engineers, and developers to create functional design specifications, Azure reference architectures, and assist with other project deliverables as needed. Implements PaaS and SaaS based Azure solutions. Migrate servers and workloads from On-Prem to Cloud environment. Daily support of public cloud and remaining on-premises platforms running on Azure and VMware. Implements Microsoft Infrastructure including Active Directory, Azure AD, Azure SSO and MFA. Technical Skills Experience in On-Prem and Virtual server environment. (3 - 5 years minimum) Knowledge of core IT infrastructure and systems including LAN/WAN networking including routers, switches and firewalls, and SAN storage. Knowledge of VMWARE virtualization in server environment, Active Directory & GPO's, and O365 and enterprise anti-virus. Experience with Shell Scripting Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Office software (1 year minimum) Intermediate level knowledge of Active Directory Intermediate level knowledge of the Microsoft Azure environment Middleware experience – WebLogic/WebShpere/Tomcat a plus Nontechnical Skill Communication and Collaboration - the candidate must be a strong communicator and collaborator Company and Vertical Experience - the cloud engineer will often need to convey the cloud computing value in business language Delegation - cloud engineer should see value in building a network of specialized colleagues and delegating assignments and tasks to best achieve an outcome   Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and a minimum of 3 - 5 years successful experience Adept at problem solving and translating business/organization needs into engineering solutions. Demonstrated understanding of system behaviors and functionality Demonstrated ability to think strategically and relate engineering decisions/recommendations to stakeholders. Strong understanding of Linux Systems Administration. Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies and tools. Knowledge of software engineering, design, and testing. Experience with relational and Not Only SQL (NoSQL) databases.
