Urgent role of Windows Engineer in Albany , NY ( No H1b and Opts)

Role : Windows Engineer

Duration :  6+ months

Location :  Albany, NY

Interview : --Will hire off of phone / Skype interviews.

Project -- Will perform a migration from Windows 2008 to Windows 2016.

JD:

• Conduct discovery of the Windows server environment and prepare server migration inventory • Develop Strategy, architect, consult and execute Windows Server Migration, application and data migrations working both independently

• Evaluate, estimate and perform proof-of-concept for Windows Server migration projects • Perform assessments on infrastructure to determine risks and provide recommendations for resolution and future environment state

• Implementation of migration best-practice procedures

• Build, maintain and track to closure the Windows Server migration Project Plan

• Produce and maintain documentation related to Migration Strategy and deployment • Track Server builds and other related operational activities involved in this project and act as SME for IT Server Ops team for Migration/upgrade related queries and incidents
