Please find the requirement below for “SQL DBA” located @ Austin, TX with State of TX. Position: SQL DBA Location: Austin, TX Duration: 6+ Months Description: The Worker must be able to analyze, design, develop, and implement SQL queries and scripts to extract and transform data from a legacy MS Access database in preparation for loading to cloud platform database (NetSuite/Oracle). The selected Worker will be responsible for working with business unit and technical project team members in identifying and defining relevant data elements and data structure. The Worker will: - Work with business to analyze and define existing legacy data architecture.
- Write and execute queries and export jobs to extract proper data.
- Work with technical project team to transform data for load to cloud database platform.
- The Worker may be required to provide services that include assignments during maintenance windows, which usually involve weekends and evenings.
Worker Skills and Qualifications - Analyze database dependencies and key elements.
- Create and execute SQL queries and scripts for the extraction and transformation of data from MS Access legacy system.
- Cleanse and normalize data for import.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Access.
- Create data reports.
- Must follow agency database standards and guidelines.
Required Technical Skills: - 5 years of SQL Server database administration
- 5 years of MS Access database administration
- 5 years of SQL scripting and queries
- 4 years of Working experience with interaction and communication with both technical and business division personnel
- 3 years of Experience with and working knowledge of highly complex application security requirements
Preference: - 3 years of Proficient with the Microsoft Windows and Office products
- 3 years of Public sector experience (Federal, State or Local Government).
