Skills & Requirements
Operations System Support is looking to hire an analyst to join its team. The candidate will support the integration of Locus View spatial mapping data into GIS system as well as supporting other GIS system requirements, as needed.
This includes designing, coding, testing and documenting all stages of new project to implement Locus View layer into current mapping system, NRG.
Will work with users to gather and document user requirements, troubleshoot and perform system testing, as well as assist with user acceptance testing.
The candidate must have expertise in the following areas:
• Proficient in writing SQL queries
• Linux (Red Hat is a plus)
• Shell scripting (Bash preferred)
• Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL experience a plus)
• Good communication skills to work with business users
• Documentation of requirements and business analysis
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Project management skills
• GIS application experience is a plus
Other tasks the candidate will be expected to perform include, but is not limited to, the following:
• Develop ad-hoc reports and queries (spatial reporting skills a plus)
• Document functional requirements
• Collaborate with business users
• Test and validate results
• Work with developers to ensure a clear understanding of requirements
