Hi, Please share me profile for below role. UNIX Administrator Location - Fond du Lac, WI Duration: 12+ months. It is onsite M-Thru, Fri from home. - Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience on Linux (Red-hat and Oracle version 4, 5, 6 and 7) performing general systems administration and maintenance / operational tasks.
- Good understanding of infrastructure concepts around Storage, Computing and Networking Technologies.
- Good hands on experience with the installation of the Linux OS through Kickstart, Package installation and Kernel upgrades.
- Good hands on experience on the installation and configuration of Printers, Sendmail, Postfix, Dovecot.
- Familiarity with management tools such as Spacewalk, Puppet and Nagios, and the ability to adapt and learn the installation process and configuration process of these tools.
- Good hands on experience with VMWare based Hypervisor, including building the guest operating systems running open them, including networking and storage configurations per vendor best practices.
- Good hands on experience with Oracle VM, XEN and KVM based Hypervisors (Linux Based), including building the guest operating systems running open them, including networking and storage configurations per vendor best practices.
- Working understanding of scripting knowledge using Shell, Ruby, Python, Perl and Java.
- Working understanding of Public Cloud Concepts of IaaS such as those from AWS, Oracle Cloud (OCI), GCP and Azure, Rack Space, etc. Some hands on experience here in one of these hyper-scale providers is valued, but not required.
- Working understanding of operating in a multi-tenant, heterogeneous, production data centre environment and the complex change control processes involved within these environments.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP networking at both Layer 2 and Layer 3 as it pertains to supporting inter-connected converged computing environments, Layer 2 adjacency concepts, basic subnetting / routing and IP gateways is required.
- Good understanding of general Storage Management concepts such as Storage Types (FC/iSCSI/Block, NAS/CIFS/SMB/File, Object vs. Block and when and why to use, Interconnections such as Ethernet, Fiber Channel, etc.).
- Certification in Linux Distributions Red Hat and/or Oracle is valued, but not required.
- Certification in Public Provider such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud (OCI) is valued, but not required.
- Certifications and operational ability in Windows OS’s from 2003 up through 2016 is valued, but not required.
