Job Position: IT release Manager
Location: Tempe, AZ
Exp:10 years
Job Description:
• Bachelor degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience
• Overall 10+ years of experience working in IT organization in a software development environment as an IT analyst, IT project manager and/or IT release manager
• 5 years of experience in managing complex information system implementations/releases processes
• 3 years of experience in project management methodologies (SDLC), Waterfall, and/or Agile
• Experience in creating integrated business and IT project plans, key milestones, dependencies, critical paths, resources plans, resources loading, risk management plans, project management reports including change and quality control metrics.
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment and tight deadlines
• Ability to mentor and lead the team in complex situations
• Be a champion of the IT Release Management process (ITIL)
• Work with service delivery teams and project managers to guarantee smooth and timely delivery of releases
• Always on lookout to improve processes to effectively manage the releases
• Work with DevOps team and release managers for timely delivery of release environments, identify conflicts and resolve within the constraints; provide alternate options in case of conflicts
• Enforce, monitor and report on entry and exit criteria for different phases of release
• Maintain the release roadmap, scope of Release(s), release risk and capacity
• Responsible for release onboarding and off boarding
• Participate in service release, deployment process policy and planning
• Create and Communicate Release Management Reports for e.g.
· Release Metrics
· Defects Introduced by Release
· Deviations from Release Calendar
• Create and works with all stakeholders to gain acceptance on Releases Calendar
