Job Title: Senior Project manager

Location: Atlanta, GA 30308

Duration: 12 Months

 

POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Ultimate responsibility for customer-funded projects and possibly some other key initiatives
• Face of the engineering team during project planning and implementation
• Strong ability to manage multiple high visibility project teams across various phases of project lifecycle
• Creative negotiation and conflict management skills
• Experience with Agile development methodologies across full SDLC
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Cross-functional team management (SW Development, QA, Consulting, SW Support, HW Support, Training, Manufacturing)
• Ability to understand customer challenges and timeframes, drive delivery of value through our agile development processes, and manage expectations as projects evolve
• Ability to work in both Agile environment and Waterfall environments depending on the project teams and customers involved
• Responsible for project resource procurement
• Conducts project kick off, closures and post mortems
• Internal and external status meetings and reporting (tracking timeline, cost, scope)
• Issue and escalation management
• Formal risk assessments (internal and external) and mitigations
• Change management
• Management of pilot installs and overall system rollout
• Manage transition process of site support from project team to maintenance team
Preferred by not required:
• Offshore development/QA team management
• Experience or training in SAFe or other Scaled Agile methodology
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s preferred and applicable experience
• International experience a plus
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM
• Technology implementation experience
• Retail business and/or retail technology experience a plus
• Microsoft project experience
• 7+ years of project management experience
• Extensive computer knowledge and experience
• Excellent verbal communication
• Excellent Customer service skills
• Excellent Team building skills
JOB CONDITIONS:
• Overnight travel is occasionally required. Could be up to 10-20%
• International travel may be required, a current Passport or ability to obtain one is required
• A valid U.S. driver’s license is required
