Job Title : Oracle DBA Architect
Location : Mason, OH
Duration : 12+ Months Contract
Description:
This is for DBA Architect with cloud technologies and strong experience with SAAS/PAAS
The Cloud DBA Architect will define the strategy, governance, and approach for data management, metadata management, data integration and data security for on-premise or on the cloud solutions. Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Thorough understanding and experience of moving on-premise databases to AWS Cloud
- Should have very good understanding about the various services provided by cloud providers w.r.t Databases
- Designs long-term, reliable, and end-to-end technical architectures (cloud and on-premise).
- Develop multi-year technology strategy and roadmap for the enterprise (cloud and on-premise).
- Evaluate and recommend software to solve business needs through buy versus build approach and extensive research of the marketplace including industry research such as Gartner
- Advocate for, and champion, efforts to close gaps between as-is and to-be architectures
- Advanced knowledge of cloud-based data strategies, NoSQL, SQL, Data Warehouse, ETL, Business Intelligence and Analytics tools
- Proficient in executive writing and presentation
Must Have :-
· Migrate IaaS/PaaS/DBaaS from premises to AWS Cloud
· Experienced 10g/11g databases migration/upgrade to 12c & RDS/Redshift/EC2/S3 in AWS
· Experience in moving NoSQL databases to cloud
· Knowledge data pump, golden gate replication/refresh tools
Skills
· Operating Systems: Linux, Unix/VMare & Cloud
· Languages: Sql, Pl/Sql, shell scripts, Node.js/Java/Python/Scala
· Databases: MySQL/PostgreSQL/Redshift/Hbase/MongoDB & Oracle/SQL server
· Tools: CloudWatch/Trail, Chef/Puppet/Ansible, Docker/Kubernetes/Terraform & Jenkins/Git
· Cloud: AWS, Azure & Oracle cloud
