Urgent Need Senior Cognos Developer

Location : New York, NY

Duration : Long Term

In-Person Required.

SCOPE OF SERVICES: 

. Work as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate reporting requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and information systems. 

. Develop, maintain, and enhance the Cognos meta-data models to enable the agency management to have the most complete and up-to- date information at their fingertips to make informed decisions.

. Manage and enhance the quality of Cognos's reporting capabilities taking into account the complexity of the disparate systems and their relationships.

. Conduct a thorough analysis of the business needs and recommend/develop the mix of Cognos components (Report Studio Vs Query Studio Vs Cubes) that should be used to deliver a self-service reporting platform.

. Work with the BA team to develop documentation that accurately and thoroughly communicates business requirements that are actionable and sanction-able by business users.

. Document and analyze system quality with test plan results and make recommendations for improvement and corrective action.

. Create a plan to ensure that the sufficient time is set aside to ensure the specialist readily trains and transfers his/her knowledge to the permanent DCA staff who will be taking over this role.
