Position: Python/AWS Developer
Location: Brentwood, TN
Duration: 6+ Months Contract
Interview: phone and skype
 
Job Description: 
 
As far as skills, here is a bullet point of skills. I would not expect a contractor to have all of these, the more the better. I listed the AWS skills in approximate order of importance.

1. Python
2. SQL
3. AWS Development
a. Lambda
b. Glue (or other ETL like tools)
c. Step
d. Cloud9
e. EC2/Hadoop
f. CodeCommit
g. CodeDeploy
h. Redshift
i. Kinesis
4. Jira
5. Experience in agile-like environment
6. Strong verbal communication skills
7. Able to work independently with minimal direction and is able to work directly with business users
8. Proven problem solver

1. Move all relevant client corporate data and Critical client systems to the new cloud/data lake environment.
a. A lot has to be put in place
b. There will be a lot of jumping between projects due to this is all new. Must be comfortable with that kind of environment.
c. Moving to an Agile environment
d. Must be able to take high level strategic direction and then start building from that. Hard to do.
e. Key Technologies: Python and SQL
f. Must have strong communication skills.
