Job Description:

- Collaborate with a team of developers and architects to implement quality software, in a timely manner

- Be a go-getter, proactively capture knowledge from Subject Matter Experts, ask right questions, and translate into code.

- Unit and system testing of application code, as well as execution of implementation activities

- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Work with other internal teams to complete project activates, such as infrastructure, eCommerce, operations, and database teams.

 

Qualifications

- 8+ years of hands-on experience on Java with focus on SOA / microservices architecture, using Spring Boot.

- Back-end Cloud services experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Hystrix, SOA and Rest API

- Experience building application on CouchBase NoSQL DB

- Hands-on experience with JUnit, Sonar, Maven, Tomcat

- Good understanding of service-oriented software architecture and design issues.

 

Nice to have:

- Experience working in cloud environment (AWS, Kubernates is a plus)

- Experience with AS400

- Experience with eCommerce solutions

- Experience with Apache Kafka

The ideal candidate will be responsible for and expected to

• Facilitate review of existing UI Frameworks, research and conduct POCs along with the Architects and Development Managers to recommend, plan and implement the go-forward UI stack.

• Collaborate with a team of developers and business analysts to effectively drive cross-team solutions that have complex dependencies and requirements thus facilitating quality and timely project completion.

• Understand and capture business/technical requirements and translate them into functional and design elements. Create high level technical design documents

• Maintain and Enhance e-commerce sites as per requirements

• Think out of the box and design concrete, robust and scalable solutions

• Help research and recommend new tools and technology frameworks that can drive innovation and differentiation of our web sites.

 

Desired Skills:

• 7 or more years of UI Development experience with e-Commerce/m-Commerce applications.

• Demonstrated in-depth experience with e-Commerce Front-end web application technologies such as CSS, HTML, AJAX especially in the areas of writing high performance, reliable and maintainable JavaScript.

• Experience with Application Servers/Containers such as Application Server/WebLogic/Tomcat

• Working knowledge/hands on experience with JSON, GULP, javascript APIs/Frameworks i.e. JQuery, DOJO, YUI, Node JS specifically implementing AJAX based solutions.

• In depth understanding and experience working with A/B test tools such as Monetate, Optimizely, Maxymiser etc

• Experience with writing and modifying custom tags within Tag Management Solutions such Signal, Tealium etc.

• Experience working with implementing third party e-commerce services including but not limited to: Payment Methods (Paypal, Google Wallet), Product Reviews, e-commerce analytics (Coremetrics, Google Analytics), SEO/SEM

• Experience working in fast paced, challenging and agile environments preferably SCRUM

• Self-starter with excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Master's degree is a PLUS.
