Job Description
Client is looking for a solid technical project manager for multiple projects in user services department.
This roll will need managing client, project and team members (both onsite and offshore)
You should have good experience of project management, client interaction and hands on knowledge of Java and Scala such that you can help out team with the issue but escalating the problem properly and finding the answers from within or outside team.
Understand the project with least documentation and create knowledge sharing documentation.
Hands-on technical is also needed to debug basic stuff (specially AWS) as this person will be part of rotational on call support (on weekends too)
Ideal candidate should come from Java development background (first 2-3 yrs of professional career) and then move into PM role in the last few years.
Qualifications:
• 10 year experience (last few years as PM and first few years of professional career doing Java development)
• Good communication and staying on top the tasks (including prompt response to the client manager as well as other internal customers)
• Good working understanding of AWS services lie EC2, RDS, VPC, ELB/ALB, S3, Route53
• Problem solving skill in multi-tier application
• Programming knowledge (Java)
• Good Experience of managing a team
• Good understanding of Jira, Github, Wiki
• Willingness to take part in on-call support
Good to have:
• Build process & experience in building code written in java & scala
• Puppet
• Pagerduty, Slack knowledge
• Scrum/Kanban board management
• Working familiarity of Memcache, Redis, Dyanmo DB,
• Basic SQL understanding
