Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure)

Location: Baltimore, MD

Duration: Long-term

Client: State of MD (Department of Human Services)

Rate: $50/hr on C2C

Visa: Any except OPT

 

Candidate need not to be local but he should available for Face to Face interview

Expenses will be provided by Client

 

Duties:

1. Deploy and manage cloud development and shared services technical computing services support our product development team.
2. Build automation tools to support the software development and network operations teams.
3. Proactively observe engineering practices and recommend systems to solve problems or alleviate pain points
4. Work closely with both internal and external software development resources as well as IT/network operations and the users of our solutions
5. Providing professional support services and/or the integration of their respective products.
6. Implement the products based on best Practices
7. Review the current architectural landscape and make appropriate recommendations.
8. Must be able to compare various solutions and determine the one which best fits the need.
9. Designs, develops and maintains infrastructure and backend applications.
10. Provides experience in web application technologies and middleware solutions.
11. Researches new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes.
12. Ensures that the architecture is well planned and in agreement with standards.

 

Education:

1. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline.

 

General Experience:

1. This position requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in developing and supporting DevOps CI/CD pipeline
2. At least file (5) years of experience working with design and implementation of systems and applications at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
3. Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform capabilities and best practices architectures, and engineering solutions within multiple Cloud accounts and services
4. Experience working in AWS via the CLI and management console.
5. 5+ years software engineering / devops experience
6. AWS DevOps Engineer certification is preferred

 

Special Qualifications:

 

POSITION:1

DevOps Engineer (One position)

1. 5 Years of Experience as a DevOps Engineer.
2. 3 years of Strong experience in Linux/Unix Administration
3. 3 Experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible
4. Experience working, automating, and driving configuration Management in a Cloud environment.
5. Experience working with varied SQL, NoSQL Databases.
6. Experience configuring and deploying Java/J2EE applications.
7. Experience with Docker, deploying containers, automated build deployments using Jenkins.
8. Experience with Big data platforms.

 

POSITION:2

DevOps Engineer (Two positions)

1. 5 years managing diverse DevOps workloads, across infrastructure, administration, deployment, development support and monitoring.
2. 3 Experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible
3. 3 years of linux administration experience, including High Availability, SELinux tools, Redhat, and patch management.
4. 3 years of experience in managing and deploying environments in Amazon Web Services.
5. 3 years of experience working with containerization, orchestration, and service discovery experience on both Windows and Linux hosts, using docker and/or ECS.
6. 3 experience with Bitbucket or similar version control systems, including branching, tagging, merging, and release management.
7. Knowledge of terraform or equivalent orchestration tools
8. Ability to multi-task easily and juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
9. Ability to learn new technologies and explain the differences and opportunities to technical and nontechnical team members.
10. Experience working with varied SQL, NoSQL Databases.
11. Experience configuring and deploying Java/J2EE applications.
12. Experience with Docker, deploying containers, automated build deployments using Jenkins.
13. Experience with Big data platforms.
