Role: Business Process Improvement – Accounting Focus

Contract Duration: 3-6 months
As one of the primary faces of our clients, the Business Process Improvement Analyst will play a critical role in delivering change to our client organizations. In this role you will perform business process and fit gap analysis for large firms focusing particularly on their financial planning and related accounting, financial reporting, planning, and improvement initiatives.
In this role, candidate will produce real work products daily, and the individual will need to be able to easily describe what they produce, and how they produce it. The need to be able to articulate how they made a difference in business transformation. They will interact with the business process owners overseeing financial planning for our clients.
Qualifications:
Experience on finance and accounting related transformation projects for enterprise size companies ($1B+ in revenue 10K+ employees) is desired. The Business Process Improvement Analyst should have experience, and proficiency in producing process requirements documents, design documentation for Build Phase, Testing, Training, and Deployment. Candidates will need to know what makes for good Process Design Documentation and the critical success factors that need to be in play on the team and in the organization. The individual needs to have a business process reengineering focus, with a strong accounting background.
Responsibilities:
In this role, working on a client Financial Reporting Program, candidate will immediately assume responsibility for several tactical items in progress, working to ensure there is no disruption to the client schedule. On this initial project, there will be an emphasis on corporate consolidations, using both Hyperion and Workday Financials. Several of the initial duties will include completing a white paper analysis on the Workday to Hyperion data transition and building out the parent reporting engine. For this project the role will require a data driven, systems focused accounting BPR / ERP experience in consolidations, and specifically using the financial planning tool - Hyperion.
A good understanding of ERP conversions is necessary, and this role requires strong writing skills and knowledge of financial disclosures.
They will be working inside the Financial Reporting Program which has deliverables scheduled for the end of July and may result in two additional workstreams involving the Financial Data Model.
