Job Title: Business Solutions Associate
Location: Jersey City, London, Sydney, NJ
Rate: $50/hr on C2C
Summary:
o The role of the Business Solutions Associate is to
o analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and/or automation.
o harvest as-is business performance and process information according to a defined standard in order to perform as-is process analysis and assessment within a defined scope.
o analyse of as-is and formulation of to-be business processes to incorporate creation and maintenance of business process models, context models, user stories, business rules, screen flows and keystroke level detail according to an agreed standard (Method, Tool and Quality including Agile).
o to apply problem solving techniques to problems / opportunities identified within a defined project scope for the product owner.
o analyse organizational structures to determine addressable headcount
o establish volume counts from systems and undertake time studies to determine headcount on the process
o formulate business requirements to automate to-be processes. This is achieved through the construction of user stories from features identified within epics.
o provide input to acceptance criteria to be approved by the Product Manager and Owner. The acceptance criteria per user story is to ensure the product is built right and the right product is built for the customer.
o provide input to test scenarios and conduct testing of the solution (unit testing and integrated testing).
o plan and hold demonstrations (every 2 weeks) to showcase working components of the solution to the client.
o perform production activities as so required for the daily functioning of the solution until 100% stable and scaled and handed over to business.
o conform to governance requirements throughout the lifecycle of each project (Tollgates, Risk and Quality and Audit).
Responsibilities:
· Engage with team & key stakeholders
o Conduct oneself in a professional manner when engaging with team and key stakeholders
o Build and foster internal team and key stakeholder relationships in order to ensure optimal environment for delivery
· Deliver Business Process Models & User Stories
o Obtain information required to create / maintain business models per agreed approach per project
o Obtain information required to create / maintain user stories per agreed Epic and Feature
o Use agreed template for creating user stories
o Use the Architecture as a framework for modelling (where available)
o Create / maintain the business models according to key Quality Standards
o Adhere to key standards for storing and retrieving artifacts.
o Generate key outputs in the required format for the Feature team.
o Include measurement requirements into to-be user stories (code for data).
· Deliver Context Models, Screen Flows and Key Stroke details
o Obtain information required to create / maintain context model(s).
o Obtain information required to create / maintain screen flows and key stroke level detail
o Use agreed templates for context models, screen flows and key stroke level documentation
· Identify Test Scenarios
o Analyse business process flows and identify scenarios to be tested (positive and negative path testing).
o Document test scenarios according to agreed template.
· Plan and Hold Showcase demonstrations to product owner
o PI Planning to schedule demos to the product owner every 2 weeks
o Work closely with the developer and plan for the demo
o Schedule the demo in the diaries of specific stakeholders
o Ensure components are ready to demo
o Run the demo with the developer, providing context and obtaining feedback.
o Ensure feedback is provided back to the team and any changes required are assessed and prioritised with the Product Owner and Manager.
· Conform to Governance
o Provide detail on to be process to the Risk and Compliance officer
o Follow protocol to obtain approval for changes
o Provide feedback to the Product Owner and Manager for any additional controls etc required to obtain sign off from Risk and Compliance
o Follow standards for documentation in required technology ie Jira and Confluence
· Execute Process Improvement Project
o Identify problem(s) to be solved.
o Apply PDCA to solve the business problem.
o Obtain sign off of solution.
o Agree implementation plan with business.
· Delivery & Time Management
o Plan and control time spent on key artefacts / outputs
o Ensure time spent on delivery is aligned to the PI Planning team capacity assumptions (velocity).
o Identify issues and risks and raise / discuss with Scrum Master / Product Manager in a timely manner
· Contribute to team and practice development
o Contribute to the continuous improvement of team approaches, models and knowledge by sharing information, building standards, developing intellectual property and capturing lessons learnt
o Participate and provide input to the development of the practice
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
o Financial Services/ Health care experience pref insurance
o Business Bachelor’s degree pref will IT
o Business Process Analysis/ Lean Six sigma
o Modelling Tool
o Jira
