Job Title: Lead Data Analytics
Onsite Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 12 months contract
Summary:
Senior technologist responsible for contributing both as a hands-on developer and an Agile team lead to advance enterprise tier search and analytics capabilities. He or she must be organized, an effective communicator, and must excel at managing ambiguity and navigating a variety of stakeholders and organizational boundaries. He/she will be responsible for managing a hybrid/virtual team, setting expectations, managing the backlog, and ensuring quality deliverables. Will assist in other deliverables involving Mobile applications, Advanced O365 tools and will help us leverage technologies in the AWS space.
Responsibilities:
- Applies agile MVP delivery skills to help functional business areas identify high value targets or Minimum Viable Products (MVPS) that evolve data analytic search capabilities
- Defines and implements MVP features tied to tangible, quantifiable business value
- Coordinates and participates in all aspects of technical feature development
- Becomes a key technical lead to help advance data analytic search capability adoption.
- Negotiating user and functional requirements with product owners, architects, and operations teams. Work with product stakeholders to prioritize the product backlog.
- Manage a team to deliver against the product backlog.
- Leverages technical knowledge to contribute to timely deliverable completion.
Required Skill set:
Technology experience (Important)
Big data relevant programming languages (Spark, Pig, Hive)
Data platform relevant file formats (ORC, Parquet, JSON, CSV)
Ingestion, transformation, integration, indexing technologies (SSIS, Glue, Talend)
Metadata, Master Data, Ontology, Catalog technologies
AWS Cloud Services (e.g. Glue, Kinesis, Dynamo, Lambda, API-G, S3, etc.)
Data store technologies (SQL/NoSQL, MongoDB, Dynamo, Oracle, SQL Server)
Common programming and scripting languages (Python, R, Node, PowerShell)
Excellent analytical skills, data insight driven, logical problem-solving skills
Excellent business consultative, inter-personal, written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of process manufacturing or BioPharma desired.

Broad experience, capable of learning and applying variety of data analytic technologies

Education and Experience:
BS/BA in related field and minimum 8 years of relevant experience preferred; will substitute relevant industry experience.
MS in related field and minimum 5 years of relevant experience
