Position:- Devops consultant
Location:- Pembroke Pines, FL
Duration:-long contract
Responsibility:-
• Ability to assess and review existing application architecture and provide assessment results, recommendations and insights.
• Ability to develop application architecture based on client requirements, business needs and budgetary constraints.
• Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
• Strong background in Agile Principles / Continuous Integration / Continuous Release • Strong background in Cloud/Data Center Administration
• Experience with automation/configuration management using tools like Puppet, Chef, TFS etc.
• Strong experience with MSSQL and NoSQL administration.
• At home with code and script (Powershell preferred)
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of experience operationally supporting enterprise or commercial applications
• Familiarity with multiple virtualization tools and techniques
• Can quickly diagnose and resolve the most insidious infrastructure issues, then take appropriate actions to prevent a recurrence
• Versatile scripter for administration, operations, and monitoring tasks
• Experienced in holistic design concepts including SOA, loose coupling, message queuing, scalable redundancy, geographically distributed systems, etc.
• Very comfortable and productive with Agile processes
• Competent and active proponent of DevOps principles
• Strong advocate of build, test, deployment, and configuration automation
• Familiarity deploying and operating applications in AWS including EC2, SQS, EBS, IAM, RDS, ELB, Elasticache and the AWS APIs
