IT Project Coordinator

Job Title: IT Project Coordinator
Location: Rensselaer, NY and Sleepy Hollow, NY
 
Type: Contract to Hire
Duration: 6 Months CTH     
 
 
Job Responsibilities:
·       Work independently in a dynamic, fast-moving environment
·       Manage and organize multiple tasks and project deliverables
·       Present complex configuration design concepts into clear and concise requirements
·       Transform and maintain current and future configuration documents into functional business requirements
·       Assure process compliance with all regulatory and procedural requirements including consistent traceability of documents to functional business requirements
·       Translate product roadmaps and feature requests into models, workflow diagrams, user stories, acceptance criteria, SELC Documentation, and other suitable artifacts
·       Create, update, and maintain responsibility for program documentation and artifacts including technical and functional procedures, technical documentation, architectural diagrams, DR plans, and requirements traceability matrices.
·       Collaborating with other technical SMEs, architects, developers, and other leads to drive requirements Working with project management, development teams, and other departments to actively remove obstacles blocking progress and ensure the program is within schedule
·       Prioritizing and grooming team(s) backlog
·       Creating work estimates, tracking progress, and reporting status in the form of burn up/down charts
 
Job requirements/Skill Set:
·       Proven 3+ years if experience as a Project Coordinator
·       Solid understanding of Agile and Scrum project management techniques and methods
·       Understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together inthe right proportions to fit a project and business environment
·       Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies at scale with enterprise-level application development projects.
·       Experience in using JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Power Point and Excel is a must.
·       Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
·       Solutions oriented, continually evaluating and adapting to change
·       Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
·       Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the "big picture" view
 
This professional position requires at least a bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree evaluated as equivalent by a US credentialing service) in computer science, information systems, business or a related field plus experience as a business analyst, systems analyst or technical analyst.
