Please share some resume Title : Data Voice Engineer location : oak Brook/IL Duration : 4 Months Phone and Skype The client is looking for an experienced candidate who has broad experience and a strong fundamental technology base - understands design/architecture concepts, has a troubleshooting methodology. The candidate doesn't need to be an expert in all of the technologies in the JD, but should have at least a couple of them. The client ranks highest need to lowest need as follows - networking (DC/LAN/WAN), firewall (ideally Palo Alto), load balancing (ideally F5), wireless, UC. Qualifications: - 5+ years network engineering experience
- 5+ years voice engineering experience - This is not a requirement for this position but if they do have the experience that is a plus.
- 8+ years of IT experience
- Cisco Unified Communications design and implementation and support experience - This is not a requirement for this position but if they do have the experience that is a plus.
- Layer 3 Routing Protocols and route manipulation (BGP and OSPF)
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and MPLS
- Must have experience with data design and implementation.
- Expert in Cisco routing, switching, Firewalls, Palo Alto, Load Balance, VPN
- Wireless Experience is a plus
- Certifications are not required but a plus
- High-Availability design and implementation is critical
- Experience designing and configuring the integration of multiple networks
- WAN design and Implementation (Multi-Vendor-MPLS for redundancy) with QoS for voice/video
- Ability to learn new skills as needed for the project
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to take initiative & take direction
- Team player
Other details: - Engineers will be based out of Oakbrook, IL office – Must be onsite
- No travel
- Technical phone interview with Ed and other team members
- Engineers must be hands on and willing to do different tasks
