As directed, analyzes system requirements and existing business processes and information systems. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and implements simple to moderate software applications.

Story Behind the Need – Business Group & Key Projects
Engineer 2 – hybrid between development and doing QA automation
Team: 4-5 developers, 3 SDETs, scrum master and system analyst
The team is working on bringing an old application to a new technology – REACT, they currently don't have the bandwidth to do it all and need extra support.
Typical Day in the Role:
Two week sprint cycles
- Agile methodology
- Taking an old app and bringing to new technology REACT
- Node.Js – is another api product stack they use, all JavaScript
- 3- 4 engineers working on this project already so this person will help supplement
- Stand up meeting in the morning – 15 min, work with developers/engineers the rest of the day creating and writing code, getting it reviewed visa-versa will review the code of other developers.
- White boarding sessions to figure out/what to build – work with system analyst to consume the requirements
- Review sessions every two weeks – will be on the spotlight to demo to show what they've automated
- Team will look at 'can you deliver what you have committed, can you take on more stuff once you finish he work, how fast can you ramp up.
- Possibility of extension or conversion

Candidate Requirements
• 3+ years of experience with web and mobile development in hybrid and native environments
• 3+ years of engineering experience with React.js, React Native, Node.js, and other JavaScript frameworks
• Strong experience in frontend programming languages CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript ES6
• Experience in NPM, Webpack
• Experience in application performance profiling, tuning, and debugging
• Experience in leading and driving automated UI unit test and code coverage
• Experience with working on various platforms including Linux/Unix
• Knowledge and experience in SDLC including SCRUM agile processes
• Self-driven, proactive, demonstrates initiative, and strong problem solver
