Position Overview:
The employee will assist in design, test, and documentation of best-in-class antennas for high volume
wireless mobile communication products. The employee must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
· Assist in design, test, and documentation of best-in-class antennas for high volume wireless
- mobile communication products
- Assist in design of diversity, broad band, and multi-band internal or external antennas
- Focus on good efficiency, compliance with SAR requirements, suitable broad band gain and
- proper radiation patterns for the intended use is required
- Attention to size, cost and manufacturability a must
- Assist customers in design of antennas for in products integrating wireless mobile communication
- devices
- Manage 64-probe Satimo antenna test chamber
- Prior experience in design of multi-band products supporting CDMA, WCDMA, LTE and/or Wi-
- Fi technologies required
- Experience/Requirements:
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical properties of antenna materials and sub-assemblies
- Skilled in the use of antenna testing and characterization test equipment and processes
- Prior experience in working with antenna suppliers and test houses
- At least 2-6 years of relevant experience in:
o Multi-band Antenna Design (Cell phones, PDA, or Laptop)
o CDMA/EVDO/GSM/GPRS/UMTS/WCDMA/HSDPA LTE protocols
o 800/900/1800/1900/2100/2400/GPS frequency bands
o Small PIFA/LOOP/Monopole (internal and external antennas)
· Working knowledge of Antenna Test Chambers
o Satimo System a plus
o Efficiency/Gain
o TRP/TIS Over the Air CTIA Testing
· Knowledge of Network Analyzers
o 8960 Call box a plus
o Self motivated engineer with good communication skills
· Willingness to learn
o Manufacturability
o Cost to unit
· Self-motivated engineer with good communication skills
