Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Duration: 1+ Year
Max Rate between- $45/hr to $50/hr on corp to corp
Description-
5+ years direct experience managing and supporting SQL Server Database Servers
• Expert knowledge and experience in Database Performance, Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
• Hands on experience with database security, auditing, backup/restore, DR and high availability
• Knowledge of PVCS or similar source code control systems
• In-depth knowledge of Stored Procedures, SSIS and Data Transformation Services, Scheduling tools like Tidal
• Experience with data partitioning, indexing best practices, compression, etc
• Experience in financial services is a plus
• Knowledge of Incident/Problem Management and is familiar with ITIL processes in a critical production environment
• ITIL and DBA certifications are preferred

Work with project delivery teams to review code before it is deployed into production for adherence to architectural standards and code defects
• Release and Deployment - Leads the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages, including assessment of risk. Liaises with business and IT partners on release scheduling and communication of progress. Conducts post release reviews. Ensures release processes and procedures are applied• To deploy code/configuration change/releases into the pre & production environments
• Troubleshooting ETL jobs and follow escalation procedures to AITD to resolve the issue
• Troubleshoot various problems that arise in a day-to-day work and fix the issues
• Monitor and optimize the performance of the database (Database level (Database settings and options) and query tuning)
• Generate database schema definitions and modifications as required
• Plan and coordinate data refreshes from one environment to another
• Code versioning and code repository management. Working with developers to obtain list of all objects for deployment to be moved
• Establish appropriate end-user database access control levels and Control and monitor user access to the database
• Planning for backup and recovery of database information, monitor those backups are being performed regularly
• Develop and modify technical documentation that describes database policies (e.g. Backup and Restoration Strategy) , maintenance standards and procedures
• Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to technical emergencies outside of normal working hours as needed
