RPA Developer
Location: Richmond , VA
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Job Description:
· Work closely with the automation team and internal customers to identify opportunities for automation.
· Participate in process discovery and requirements gathering for new requests.
· Create technical design documents for processes (includes solution design and detailed process flows)
· Perform automation development in Automation Anywhere to include object modeling/process creation, system and business exception handling, work queue configuration, monitoring, maintenance and Integration
· Work closely with the customer to develop/validate and execute test plans and test cases
· Create operational impact and other support documentation
· Determine the estimated level of effort (LOE) required to develop Automation Anywhere automation(s)
· Participate in and contribute to deployment activities inclusive of submitting IT change requests, representing the team in change control board meetings, deployment planning, production validation and debugging, identifying optimizations post go-live
· Perform production support handover with support team
· Participate in team ceremonies including daily update stand-ups, planning sessions and retrospectives
· Timely escalation of any issues/show stoppers requiring customer team intervention and resolution
· Coach and mentor junior developers
· With support from an off-shore development team:
Manage the control room, including monitoring, scheduling, troubleshooting
Perform system configuration and administration
Plan and apply patches and upgrades
Technology & Skill Set
· 2+ years of experiencing developing complex automations in Automation Anywhere
· Experience working with GUI based systems and legacy mainframe applications
· Extensive experience with data manipulation in Excel
· Experience with Office 365 applications
· Experience with Microsoft Outlook
· Experience with Web Services & API usage (e.g. working with WSDLs to submit or request data between systems)
· Experience writing SQL queries to read & write to various data sources (e.g. SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, Sybase).
· Experience with JavaScript – nice to have
· Experience with Microsoft Office Macros (VBA) – nice to have
· Excellent communications skills
· Ability to interact with senior level audiences
