Responsibilities
1. Working with large scale networks, compute and storage architectures to help remove roadblocks in migration projects to AWS.
2. Defining and executing technical migration strategies by working with technical teams
3. Engaging with development, infrastructure, security and IT operations teams at the customer end and identifying repeatable patterns and architectures for cloud migration.
4. Creating, articulating, and positioning an innovative and compelling vision and value proposition so that customer executives clearly realize the financial benefits and transformational value of migrating to AWS as on need basis.
5. Identifying platform improvements, influencing future iterations of the AWS platform and the Migration Acceleration Program.
6. Engaging with C-level customer executives to inspire, define and execute on Enterprise cloud migration strategies demonstrating thought-leadership and a ‘can do’ approach to enterprise migrations, working backwards from app / user needs.
7. 5+ years of IT consulting experience as a devops + aws engineer in customer-facing roles
8. 4+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications
9. 2+ years across Enterprise IT in multiple of the following areas: Infrastructure architecture; Database architecture; IP Networking; Zero downtime migrations, IT Security; Data Center Operations, Cloud operating model, Software design or development ·
10. 2+ Experience architecture highly available, resilient, fault tolerant systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal/vertical scaling and high availability ·
11. 4+ years of expertise in private and public Cloud Computing (i.e. AWS platform), technologies and architectural best practices. ·
12. 3+ years of expert level technical acumen and the ability to understand the customer landscape, identify opportunities and overcome any technical obstacles, ultimately influencing the adoption of AWS platform to meet or exceed business requirements.
13. Experience in leading datacenter or cloud migration projects. Experience in a range of migration discovery, profiling, migration, and operations technologies and tools. · Depth in various migration techniques such as rehost, refactor, rearchitect, replaform, repurchase, etc. ·
14. Understanding of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks and Enterprise IT management frameworks, identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications and global infrastructure assets.
15. Take a very hands-on approach to implement DevOps strategy right from requirements analysis, test design, estimates, test execution, reporting, escalation, stakeholder communication.
16. Strong experience in managing source code using GitHub, Bitbucket. Migration experience from SVN,CVS to GitHub, Bitbucket.
17. Hands-on experience in deployment automation using Shell/Python Scripting with concentration on DevOps and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Team City etc integrating with build tools like Maven, Ant and Gradle
18. DevOps development for Integrated Software Platform involving build process automation, Deployments and automation and integration
19. Live Updates using (Blue-Green) method
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
∙ Bachelors in Computer Science
∙ AWS Certified Solution Architect
∙ Robust cloud experience

∙ Experience in Google Cloud
∙ Prior experience in application development as an architect
